Charles Wallace Open Visiting Fellowships is offered under a partnership between the British Council in Pakistan and Charles Wallace. The purpose of granting this scholarship is to enable Pakistani students to complete their Courses in short UK visits. Award holders will receive £1,400 per month. This scholarship is given in particular subjects like Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, Environmental Sciences, and Health Sciences.

2.The Commonwealth scholarship:

The Commonwealth scholarship for international students program 2022 is an initiative for the students from the Commonwealth countries including Pakistan who belong to low and mid income families who generally cannot afford to study abroad.The scholarship is aided by the Department for International Development of United Kingdom for exceptionally talented students to pursue their higher studies in country United Kingdom

Eligibility Criteria of Commonwealth Scholarship 2022 for Pakistani Students:

• The student must be a citizen of Pakistan or AJK.
• The student must be serving as a professor at an HEC recognized university and have an experience of 1 year.
• Students should not have been enrolled in the same level in the UK before.
• The student is required to be under one of the themes.
• The Pakistani student must be available before the academic year of the UK that is September /October of the year.
• The Pakistani student must not be before registered at a UK university for Postgraduate and doctorate.
• The Postgraduate Pakistani applicants must have a first class in their academics.
• The Pakistani student must not have a third division in any of their academic years.
• The Pakistani student must not be financially able to support their education in the UK.

Scholarship Application Procedure of Commonwealth 2022 for Pakistani students

1. The Commonwealth UK does not accept direct applications, the Pakistani students must apply beforehand at HEC.
2. The HEC conducts an interview and a test for all the shortlisted candidates.
3. The HEC can disqualify a candidate in case of false information.
4. All the documentation must be completed at HEC and Commonwealth in due time.
5. The HEC selects an equal proportion of male and female.

 

 3.Chevening Scholarship:

The Chevening international scholarship scheme provides opportunities of academic and professional development, network extension, cultural experience of the UK and platform to build a strong long lasting relation with the UK to emerging future leaders, experts and decision makers. At core, the Chevening scholarship motive is to build a strong network of UK’s friends, after getting education from the UK the students will return back to their countries and serve as efficient leaders.

To apply for Chevening Scholarship, you must meet following requirements/conditions:

• You are national of a Chevening-eligible country
• After your Chevening award has ended, you must return back to your native country.
• You must have an undergraduate degree that is considered equivalent to the UK’s undergraduate degree. Bachelor honours (4 year duration study programme) is considered equivalent to the UK’s undergraduate degree and eligible to apply for Postgraduate Admission.
• You must have at least two years work experience. For Chevening Fellowship, the work experience should be 5 years duration. To know the complete work experience requirement for Chevening Awards consult your country’s page.
• You must apply for postgraduate degree courses at one or three UK universities and must receive an unconditional letter of acceptance for any one of these applied courses before July.
• You must meet Chevening English Language requirements till July by passing English language proficiency test with required grades.

• The student must have undertaken a proper under graduate course of 4 years in the past 10 years of their life.

1. Copy of CNIC issued by the NADRA or passport issued by the GOV of Pakistan.
2. Transcripts issued by the university of which the student was previously a student, and verified by the concerned authority of the university.
3. A copy of the matric result sheet.
4. A copy of the higher secondary result sheet.
5. English language proficiency TOEFL (7-7.5), IELTS (100-110), C1 (185-191), C proficiency (185-191).
6. A head to shoulder colored photograph.
7. Curriculum vitae describing all the achievements of all sorts in academics, sports, music, prizes, political activity, employment and leadership positions, voluntary work , scholarships and all sorts of community work the Pakistani student has undertaken.
8. A personal statement describing and answering the question “who are you?” It must be more than 1000 words citing all the Pakistani students’ interests and telling their story. The personal statement is important as it defines how productively the student has utilised their time and how they can be beneficial to not just the university but the world.
9. Three reference letters from the people who have taught you, because such people can testify and comment on the academic abilities you have cited. Also they can give a clear idea of the students character and their participation in extracurricular activities.
10. The Pakistani students who are applying for D Phil are required to submit a research proposal.

5.Erasmus Scholarship Programme:

The Erasmus Programme is a student exchange programme established by the European Union (EU) in 1987. The Erasmus + Programme has been newly designed by the European Union which combines together all of the EU’s currently running education  training, youth and sport schemes under the same programme.

4.Erasmus Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2022

To apply for exchange studies through the Erasmus Programme; the students must have registration in higher education institutions. The study programme you are enrolled in at that higher education institution must be leading to a recognized degree or other recognized tertiary education degrees such as postgraduate or doctorate level. The institution you are enrolled in must be an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education holder. If you meet this criterion, then you can upload following documents at your chosen hosting institution for Erasmus programme:

• Letter of Motivation: The motivation letter must be at least written in one page. The candidate will explain why he/she is an eligible candidate for Erasmus and what are his/her reasons to participate in the application study programme.
• Study Plan: Preparatory study plan for the course you are applying in the Erasmus scholarship application.
• Updated CV
• Passport
• Language Proficiency Test Certificate: It depends on the requirements of your hosting institution and your nationality.
• Transcript of academic records: The list of degrees, certificates and diplomas you have passed previously. The higher secondary school diploma or equivalent degree that must be passed in at least 60 ECTS.
• Proof of Registration: A documented proof signed by your home institution demonstrating you are currently enrolled there.
• Recommendation letter: It is optional for undergraduate exchange studies, mainly depends on the requirements of your hosting institution.
• Candidate’s Recent Photographs

Postgraduate (Masters) Exchange Studies and Degree Studies:

• Letter of Motivation: Written in one page explain why you are interested in applying to a study programme and why you must be considered eligible for the Erasmus Programme.
• Study Plan: Preparatory study plan for the course you are applying in the application.

• Language Proficiency Test Certificate: depends on language requirements of your study course, hosting institution and your national language.
• Transcripts of academic records. The list of degrees, diplomas and certificates you have passed previously. Bachelor’s Degree passed in good grades, minimum grades requirements depends on your hosting institution.
• Proof of Registration: An official document issued by your home university stating that you currently enrolled there.
• Recommendation Letter: Optional, depends on your hosting university’s requirement

Postgraduate (PhD) Exchange Studies:

• Letter of motivation: Written in the same manner as mentioned above for bachelors and masters degrees.
• Updated CV
• Passport
• Language Proficiency Test Certificate: According to language requirements of your hosting institution and study programme.
• Transcripts of academic records: List of all previously passed degrees including:  Bachelor Degree Certificate (or equivalent, Master Degree Certificate (or equivalent) and Letter of Interest by host university.
• Academic record/list of publications
• Study and Research Plan
• Recommendation letters: compulsory for doctorate students. The letter must be issued by two of the student’s professors.
• Candidate’s photographs
• Mobility Activity Plan (MAP): A detailed study plan for research/teaching or training activities.
